Peoria’s Methodist Medical Center is recognized as one of The Most Wired Hospitals of 2012. Methodist received the designation in the July issue of Hospitals and Health Networks magazine. Over 15-hundred hospitals nationwide completed a survey to demonstrate improvements in efficiency in the area of health information technology. That includes improvements in protecting patient data, and optimizing patient flow and communication. Methodist is one of more than one-hundred-fifty hospitals nationwide to receive the honor. Doctor Keith Knepp is the Chief Medical Information Officer for Methodist. He says physicians now have more rapid access to information about patients and the hospital. Doctor Knepp says this allows better all-around experience for patients. This is the second time Methodist has received The Most Wired award. They were also recognized last year. |
