Bradley University announced Michael Brooks as its eighth head women’s basketball coach. Brooks was the team’s director of operations during the 2009-2010 season and the assistant coach last season. Brooks says the transition feels natural because of his existing bond with the team:

“We have a comfortable familiarity with each other. We’ll be able to hit the ground running. We’ve been in constant communication all summer, so this just makes the position all the more worthwhile for me.”

Brooks’ role as head coach begins immediately. He replaces Paula Buscher, who was with Bradley for twelve years. She left last month to become head coach at SIU Edwardsville.
