The Peoria Rivermen have a new head coach. Rivermen General manager Kevin McDonald announced this week that current head coach Jared Bednar’s contract would not be renewed at the end of the month for next season. Dave Allison has now been hired to fill that void. Allison has 18 years experience as a head coach with the majority of his career spent in developmental leagues. He is currently serving as an amateur scout with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Allison will join the Rivermen next month.
