The Peoria Rivermen’s head coach is not returning next season.  Rivermen general manager Kevin McDonald says the Saint-Louis Blues are not renewing its contract with Jared Bednar for the 2012-2013 season.  Bednar’s contract expires at the end of the month.  It’s not clear why the contract isn’t being renewed or if the Rivermen have a replacement.  Bednar has been head coach of the Rivermen for the past two years.
