Starting Thursday, water restrictions in Decatur are the most stringent they've been all summer. And for some people that means no more job. The ban applies to watering lawns, filling swimming pools ... and washing cars. Dawn Grandon, who's been the assistant manager at a commercial car wash, says it's bad news for her and the people who work there.
"Now with them putting more water restrictions on us and closing us completely down, it's going to affect us a lot. We've got ten employees here at this wash alone that are going to have to go to unemployment or find another job," says Grandon.
Those who don't adhere to the watering restrictions are subject to a fine. Officials say restrictions are necessary because the lake the city relies on for water is too low.
