Tazewell County is getting a state grant to help conduct inspections at permitted pollution control sites. The 64-thousand-dollar grant is from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. It will also help pay for landfill inspections and investigations of citizen complaints about illegal dumping. 19 local governments received the grant totaling about one-and-a-half-million-dollars.
