It looks like several large retailers think this will be a busy holiday shopping season. Illinois Public Radio's Brian O'Keefe talked with Chicago based employment expert John Challenger about the expected surge in holiday hiring: TAG: Even if the jobs are just temporary, they increase the buying power of consumers during the holiday shopping season. And Challenger says the retail jobs also help to bring the long-term unemployed back to the workforce.
