Pumpkin crop performing well amid drought plagued growing season

John Ackerman is a career farmer in central Illinois, but in recent years he's moved into a slightly different business, agri-tainment. Ackerman Farm has a 30 acre you-pick pumpkin Patch, small corn maze, and a petting zoo. The farm also grows corn and soybeans. But the pumpkin crop is the bright spot of a drought plagued growing season. Illinois Public Radio’s  Brian O'Keefe talked with Ackerman about his operation:
