More retail stores are joining Costco and Target in locating in the new East Peoria Downtown. Cullinan Properties announced ULTA Beauty and Gordmans are signed up to locate in the development. They will be joined by a Holiday Inn, Hometown Community Bank, and a new Public Library with additional retail space as part of the first phase of construction.
Cullinan Chief Operating Officer Chris West says the company has been fortunate to attract the many retailers looking to locate in East Peoria’s new downtown.
"It's a warming of the economic climate and the retailers, when they see the caliber of tenants here with the Costco and Target which are leaders in the industry, they will accompany those tenants to build out in those communities," says West.
West says Cullinan is expected to announce soon up to 12 new tenants for the development. The 100-million dollar construction project has created about 300 jobs with more anticipated. Costco is set to open in November. The remainder of Phase one is to be complete in March. |
