After nearly a decade in office first as Interim leader and then as Illinois State University's 17th President, Al Bowman says health reasons have caused him to announce his retirement. The word comes shortly after Bowman signed a new four year contract. Illinois Public Radio’s Charlie Schlenker talks with Bowman about his decision, effective as soon as a successor is chosen.
