The Peoria City/County Health Department has a new contract with its union employees. The board of health approved the three-year deal this week. Members of AFSCME Council 31 ratified the contract last week. 

The deal provides wage increases of two-percent, two-and a-quarter-percent, and two-and-a-half percent over the next three years. The contract also addresses vacation accrual issues and part-time employee benefits. A 125-dollar signing bonus was also part of the agreement.
