Condoleezza Rice speaking at Peoria MLK luncheon

 A former U.S. Secretary of State is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the annual Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. Luncheon in Peoria.  Public Employees for Community Concerns announced Condoleezza Rice will give the next MLK. Luncheon address. Rice served as Secretary of State for four years under President George W. Bush.  She was the second woman and first African American woman to hold the post.  Rice is currently a political science professor at Stanford University and a public policy fellow at the Hoover Institution.  The annual luncheon is January 21 at noon.  Tickets are $40 per person or $400 for a table of ten.  They can be purchased by calling Alma Brown at 453-4070.
