A statement from Caterpillar says the company has signed a tentative six-year contract agreement with leaders of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. The tentative deal covers approximately 780 represented employees at the Joliet plant. The agreement is subject to a ratification vote by union members. That vote is being held Friday. The statement says the Union and the Company have agreed not to comment on any specific details of the tentative contract.
